Work
I built every project on this page from start to finish.
I can walk you through every decision.
Who I work with
I work with any local service business. The craft is the same whether you run a med spa, a landscaping company, or a dental practice. The three projects below happen to be a collectibles shop, a nanny service, and this studio. Your industry doesn't need to be on the list. If you've built something real and your site doesn't show it, that's the brief.
E-commerce · Retail
AP Collectibles
Toy collector. Convention vendor. Deserved better than a site from 2004.
Service · Childcare
Little Compass
Private nanny, enrichment, and home management. Built a business. Needed a site to match.
Studio · This site
Jaxon Hoffman Web Studio
Every new studio has to start somewhere. This site is where mine starts.
Toy collector. Convention vendor. Deserved better than a site from 2004.
The Problem
AP Collectibles sells decals and collectibles at toy shows and comic cons across the region, with some orders shipped directly. The site they were running was an old ASP.NET application. Functional, barely. Anyone visiting to buy something or arrange a shipment was looking at a site that looked decades out of date. For a business built on trust between strangers, that's a real problem.
What I Built
Rebuilt from scratch on Next.js. One focused page covering who AP Collectibles is, what they carry, and where they'll be. Plus a dedicated contact page for orders and shipping inquiries. Custom email domain through Outlook so every message comes from a @apcollectibles.com address. Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form to keep the inbox clean without adding friction for real customers. Simple scope. Done right.
The Outcome
99/100 Real Experience Score on Vercel Speed Insights. More than 75% of visits scored "Great." The site loads fast enough that it gets out of the way and lets the product do the talking.
Private nanny, enrichment, and home management. Built a business. Needed a site to match.
The Problem
The work was there. The clientele was there. What wasn't there: any web presence. Families looking for a private nanny or home management support had no way to find her, vet her, or reach out with confidence. Word of mouth has limits. A clear professional site removes them.
What I Built
A focused service site built to do one job well: give families enough confidence to reach out. Clear positioning across three offerings: private nanny services, enrichment programming, and home management. A structured intake form so families can share their situation before the first call, which saves everyone time and filters for fit. Custom email domain, Cloudflare Turnstile on the form, fast load time on Vercel.
The Outcome
Site in production. Performance numbers and Speed Insights data to be added at launch.
Every new studio has to start somewhere. This site is where mine starts.
The Problem
Launching a studio without a full portfolio is the oldest catch-22 in freelancing. You need work to get clients, and clients to get work. The answer isn't to fake a portfolio. It's to build something good enough that the site itself is the argument.
What I Built
Designed and built from scratch: brand identity, copy, visual system, and code. Every design decision and performance target documented. The site runs on the same stack and meets the same standards I hold client work to. If you're reading this, you're already looking at the proof.
The Outcome
Performance numbers and Speed Insights data to be added post-launch. Full-page screenshots added at launch.
